Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect from my initial assessment visit?

Before your first physiotherapy appointment, please make sure that you have filled the new patient intake form online.
For Physiotherapy sessions, you might want to wear loose and comfortable clothing as you may be required to walk or squat as a part of assessment and treatment.
Your first appointment is an initial assessment where the physiotherapist will test your movement, strength, flexibility, walking pattern, posture and more to diagnose the underlying issue and develop an appropriate treatment plan. The physiotherapist may use palpation techniques to assess the injured area.
Generally, this assessment lasts between 45 and 60 minutes. Please feel free to ask any questions during the assessment.

What does physiotherapy treatment include?

Physiotherapy treatment includes a combination of manual therapy and electrotherapeutic modalities combined with an exercise program:
Manual therapy techniques

Electrotherapeutic modalities and more
The treatment techniques vary with the diagnoses and desired outcomes.
